Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of awanderingmind.life and the A Wandering Mind articles, tools, calculators, store features, and related services made available through the site (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Kestrel Ventures LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (“Kestrel Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What A Wandering Mind provides

A Wandering Mind is an independent publication and resource platform offering articles, educational material, interactive calculators, veteran resources, product links, and other tools. Features may change as the publication and its related products develop.

A general site account is not currently required to read articles or use the public tools. Third-party commerce, newsletter, or platform providers may offer their own account, subscription, or checkout functions under separate terms.

Informational use and no professional advice

Content and tools are provided for general educational and informational purposes. They are not individualized financial, investment, lending, legal, tax, medical, insurance, benefits, or other professional advice.

Calculator results—including vehicle affordability, loan, disability, lottery, budgeting, or other estimates—may depend on assumptions, incomplete information, changing laws, third-party data, and rounding. Results are not quotes, approvals, offers, eligibility decisions, guarantees, or substitutes for official records or professional judgment. Verify important information with the relevant agency, lender, provider, adviser, or other qualified source before acting.

Purchases, payments, and order terms

Products or services offered through the Service may be processed by third-party commerce and payment providers. Those providers may collect payment, billing, shipping, tax, and transaction information under their own terms and privacy policies.

You agree to provide accurate information and to use only a payment method you are authorized to use. We may refuse or cancel an order because of availability, pricing or listing errors, suspected fraud, unauthorized activity, legal requirements, or other legitimate operational reasons.

Product-specific shipping, cancellation, return, refund, subscription, or licensing terms shown on a product page or during checkout apply to that purchase. Where a product-specific term conflicts with this general section, the product-specific term controls to the extent of the conflict.

Newsletters and communications

Using the Service does not automatically subscribe you to marketing messages. If you voluntarily join a newsletter or other mailing list, you may unsubscribe using the link provided in the message or the method offered by the applicable provider.

We may still send non-promotional messages reasonably necessary to complete a transaction, respond to a request, address security or legal issues, or provide an important service notice.

User submissions and feedback

When you send comments, corrections, suggestions, images, messages, or other material through a form or communication channel, you represent that you have the right to send it and that doing so does not violate another person’s rights or applicable law.

You retain ownership of material you submit. You grant Kestrel Ventures LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display that material only as reasonably necessary to respond to you, operate or improve the Service, investigate a report, or use feedback you intentionally provide. Do not submit confidential information or material you do not want reviewed for those purposes.

Copyright complaints

We respect the intellectual-property rights of others. A copyright owner or authorized representative who believes material on the Service infringes a protected work may submit a report through our contact page with “Copyright complaint” in the subject or opening line.

Please include:

• identification of the copyrighted work;
• the exact URL or location of the challenged material;
• your name and reliable contact information;
• a statement explaining why the use is not authorized by the owner, an agent, or the law;
• a statement that the information supplied is accurate and that you are authorized to act; and
• an electronic or physical signature.

Knowingly making a materially false infringement claim may create legal liability.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, or harmful activity;
• infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights;
• impersonate Kestrel Ventures LLC, A Wandering Mind, another user, or another person or entity;
• send spam, malicious code, viruses, worms, denial-of-service traffic, or similar harmful material;
• attempt unauthorized access to the Service, its hosting environment, accounts, databases, or connected systems;
• interfere with, disable, overload, or damage the Service or another person’s use of it;
• scrape, crawl, monitor, harvest, or copy Service content in bulk using automated or manual means without written authorization;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass access controls, or attempt to extract protected source code or data; or
• resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without permission.

Ordinary search-engine indexing, accessibility technology, browser functionality, and uses authorized by law are not prohibited by this section.

Third-party links, advertising, and affiliate relationships

The Service may link to third-party sites, products, agencies, platforms, or services. A link does not necessarily mean that we control, guarantee, or endorse the third party. Third-party content, availability, terms, pricing, security, and privacy practices are the responsibility of the third party.

Some eligible pages may contain clearly identified advertising, sponsored links, or affiliate/referral links. Kestrel Ventures LLC may receive compensation when a user views, clicks, signs up, or purchases through an eligible disclosed link, generally at no additional cost to the user. Compensation does not change the need for editorial relevance or an appropriate disclosure near the link.

AI-assisted content

Some A Wandering Mind content, research workflows, illustrations, summaries, or product features may use artificial-intelligence tools and receive human review before publication. AI-assisted material may still contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or unintended similarities. It should be evaluated with the same care as other informational content and independently verified when accuracy matters.

Availability and changes to the Service

We may add, update, remove, suspend, restrict, or discontinue content or features at any time. We do not promise that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.

We may correct errors in content, calculations, pricing, links, or product descriptions without prior notice. Historical articles may remain available even when circumstances, laws, data, or third-party policies have changed.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, or course of performance.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kestrel Ventures LLC and its affiliates, contractors, service providers, licensors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity; or losses arising from reliance on content, tools, third-party links, or unavailable Service features.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory asserted and even if the possibility of damage was known. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Kestrel Ventures LLC and its affiliates, contractors, licensors, and representatives from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the Service, your material violation of these Terms, or material you submit in violation of another party’s rights.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in Georgia, and the parties consent to that court’s jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires a different forum.

These Terms do not require arbitration. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will identify the current version. For a material change, we may also provide a notice on the site or through another reasonable channel. Continued use of the Service after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Digital assets and NFTs

Historical or current A Wandering Mind content may discuss, display, link to, sell, or facilitate access to non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrencies, or other digital assets through third-party platforms. Digital assets are volatile and may lose some or all of their value.
