Look at the image above and read this:

Notice how what started as a description of her physical appearance evolved into a description of her mental state.

Try this:

First, Create a mental image - could be completely made up or something that exists.

Next, Describe the image.

As you describe the image, you’ll start getting ideas on how to further develop your character. The only thing to do now is write it all down.
